Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here, And you must treat it as a powerful stranger, Must ask permission to know it and be known. The forest breathes. Listen. It answers, I have made this place around you. If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here. No two trees are the same to Raven. No two branches are the same to Wren. If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you, You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows Where you are. You must let it find you. ~From Traveling Light: Collected and New Poems by David Wagoner. We are pleased to announce that in June 2010, Terry Laszlo-Gopadze's long-awaited book, The Spirit of a Woman was released by Santa Monica Press. With a Foreword by Angeles Arrien, the book is a collection of stories by women who have faced challenging circumstances in exceptional ways that have transformed and expanded their lives. They open up to life and see opportunities in places they never expected, learning to trust the process rather than the outcome. Obstacles become doors, anger becomes trust, and loneliness is displaced by a sense of unity with others and with the cosmos. I was privileged to work as an editor on the project and to have a story in the book. You can find more about it at http://womens-spirit.com |
If the Internet connects us with the outer world of information, why not an Indranet, that connects our inner lives, and keeps the souls of us shining brightly? |
