Bio and Contact Information |
Sheri Ritchlin is a writer, lecturer and dreamworker who does much of her writing and dreaming in her camper, Mr. Fields--currently perched in Sonoma County, California. Her life has taken her in many different directions and places, from living in a cottage in the Wye Valley of England, to Patzcuaro, Mexico where she lived off and on for many years. She founded a small press and later the Stratford Center for Education and the Arts in Del Mar, California. After decades of studying dreams and the works of C.G. Jung, she became a professional dreamworker in the 1980s, lecturing and offering workshops and consultations in the U.S. and England. In 1992, she came to the San Francisco area to study Chinese language and philosophy with Professor Yi Wu, focusing on the Great Commentary (Fifth and Sixth Wings) of the I Ching. Here she was introduced "live" to the visionary thought of people like Brian Swimme, Richard Tarnas, Charlene Spretnak, Joanna Macy, William Irwin Thompson, Andrew Harvey, Angeles Arrien, and Jean Shinoda Bolen, among many others. During this time, she had the privilege of working with Rev. Lauren Artress in the Labyrinth Project at Grace Cathedral, and has since led labyrinth walks in several places, including "A Walk into the New Millennium" at Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico. In 2002, she received her Ph.D. and in 2003, her book One-ing was published by Council Oak Books. In Spring 2007, she will publish The Dreamer's Way: A Handbook for Dreamers, Dream Groups and Therapists, which will be available through this website. Also available will be her video series, "Mexico--One Woman's View: Interviews with Carolina Escudero de Mugica" and her dissertation study: The Return of the Sage: A New Cosmology Meets the Way of Heaven and Earth in the I Ching. In late Fall 2007, look for Fields of Light: The Fifth Sun and Beyond on the myth of Quetzalcoatl and the Venus transit of 2012. She is completing a "literary collage" based on her life in Mr. Fields on Grossi's Organic Vegetable Farm, A Farm in Marin. (The farm is in Sonoma but its story begins in Marin.) Sheri offers workshops, lectures and classes in several areas, including dreams, the I Ching, and the Mesoamerican Cosmovision. You can contact her through this website at: sheri @SheriRitchlin.com. |
